The pollution of the environment should be a major concern for the entire world. Plastic Bank was created in 2013, and their main goal is to stop Ocean Plastic, under the advisement of CEO David Katz. To make this a possibility, the company basically converts the collection of waste into a digital asset that is spendable for anyone who contributes.

The company has recently partnered with IBM to introduce blockchain to the effort to encourage consumers to have a more environmentally conscious state of mind. IBM is lending their blockchain technology to give the opportunity to utilize the tokens and make purchases on the network.
